The start of fall share is always a bit of a mash up with the final summer crops and the start of our cool season. Looks like we’ll have a few tomatoes, sweet peppers, lettuce, the last of the onions and shallots, fennel, kale and maybe some spinach. Fennel wasn’t scheduled until the second share, but it’s so big from good summer weather that I’m not sure it’ll hold any longer.
Thursday’s final summer harvest was a good one and we had time to do a little weeding and field clean up. Now that there are no more Monday harvests I’m hoping we’ll get more field clean up done on Mondays while the weather is still good. This Monday morning I’m mostly doing office catch up work. There are never a lack of projects to get to on the farm.

If you’re on the waiting list we’ll let you know if anything opens up, and feel free to visit our farm stand during regular hours on Thursdays between 4:30 and 5:45 where we sell any extra harvest we have for the week.
