Most of our produce is sold through CSA Shares but we often have a little extra of some items, or an item or two that we don’t have enough of for everyone and we put those on our farm stand. In addition, Hoverfly Flower Farm who grows cut flowers on the farm often sells beautiful bouquets at the farm stand.
You can pay for farm stand purchases of vegetables using the “donate” button at the bottom of the slowhandfarm.com home page. We are charged a small transaction fee for every separate transaction so if you can keep track and pay either at the end of the years, or monthly, it will save us the fees and a bit of bookkeeping. Flower purchases should be made separately and paid directly to Hoverfly Flower Farm.
Farm stand hours are the same as our regular CSA pick-up hours – currently 4:15 to 5:45 on Mondays and Thursdays.
The farm is located behind the playing fields at Trinity Lutheran Church on NE 56th and Killingsworth. There is also a gate on NE 56th, one block north of NE Alberta. Feel free to walk your bike through the farm, no need to lock it up. Car parking is available in the front lot of Trinity Lutheran (please don’t park near the playing fields, that part of the lot is used as a playground by the kids programs), or on NE Alberta. There is no parking on NE 56th or NE Sumner.
The farm stand is open to anyone, not just CSA members. We have suggested prices but what and when you pay is up to you. Thanks for supporting the work we do, we couldn’t do it without the support of the community!
