Spring Update

I got back from Japan last night and to push through the jet lag I headed out to the farm this morning to get some radish and carrot seed and lettuce seedlings in the ground before the rain. Looks like Sara’s been keeping the weeds at bay and Sam kept the greenhouse watered and the crops are growing in the field so everything is on track! It also looks like we might get lucky with more dry weather late this week so we can get more plants in the ground and keep knocking down the weeds which are growing nearly as well as the crops right now.

I just sent out invoices for the recent sign ups so if you’ve been waiting on that check your email inbox. We still have 8 spring shares available ( sign up for the B schedule if you can, but there’s also a little space in the A schedule). Summer is filling up too, with just 11 shares available, all on Mondays.

PS – the Japan trip was amazing and really interesting to get just a glimpse into some of the agriculture and food there. I may have to go back for a deeper dive on that part as a lot of the farming I saw was on a scale much closer to urban plot than many places I’ve been, and the focus on quality and craft there is inspiring.
