Predictions for Sixth Fall Share

The next two weeks are our final fall shares, and final shares of the year. Looks like we’ll have more leeks and radicchio, along with a bunch green or one sort or another. I’m hoping we’ll also have some roots to give out, maybe winter radishes or rutabaga, and possibly parsnips! We’ll have more polenta corn on the farm stand, more cardoon and maybe some carrots?

Winter CSA shares are sold out now. Those will be starting the first week of January. If you signed up for a winter share you’ll get an email with the details on picking up your first share later in December.

We’ve continued to get relatively lucky with Thursday weather and so we’ve been able to get quite a bit of clean up done. We finally planted a bunch of dahlias in the you pick area so fingers crossed those make it through the winter and the slugs. There’s still more trellising to come down in the field, a few weeds to deal with, and in the office I’m deep in the planning for next year’s plantings and CSA, as well as paying the last of the bills for 2023.
