I will be open for community farming hours 3-6pm and the farm stand 5-6:30pm today as usual. Labor Day is for labor on the farm right? Right!
Lots of harvesting to do this time of year, as well as trying to keep all the weeds from going to seed. It’s been nice to get a bit of rain over the past week or so. The cool temperatures are lovely to work in as well. The winter squash is looking mostly ready for harvest, the onions also are ready to bring in to finish curing, the fall & winter daikon, kale, cabbage, collards, and mustard greens are still small but growing fast. It feels like fall even though I know we’ve got a few more weeks of technical summer to go.
Thanks to all those who keep coming out to the farm stand week after week! Please spread the word!
