I just took a trip to the grocery store and apparently that’s where everyone is right now. There’s also still an awful lot of slush and ice to melt and the forecast for this evening makes me think that tomorrow probably won’t be the best day for a harvest or CSA pick-up.
So, the next CSA pick-up will be Thursday, January 25, assuming the weather gets better.
Whenever I plan out the Winter CSA I always think, “well, if it freezes we’ll just delay a week since harvests are typically every other week anyway.” It’s still a bummer though, and my personal radicchio stash is running low so I have my fingers crossed that some of the remaining heads made it through that cold snap. I think most of the roots and leeks should at least be fine, and I suspect we may get some more greens at some point, too.
