2023 Final Distribution and 2024 Predictions

We were treated to a beautiful, sunny day on the farm for the final fall harvest and last farm day of 2023. The share looked very similar to last week’s, just with collards instead of chard. We’re taking next week off and then we’ll be back the first week of 2024 for the first harvest of the winter season. My best guess on that share is that it will have radicchio, escarole, yellow carrots, parsley, leeks, and possibly a winter radish or rutabaga.

Next up in my office work today is invoicing for all of the fall season farm stand purchases so if you’ve been wondering when that bill is coming, look for it later today. If you didn’t add anything from the farm stand, or you spent less than the amount of credit that comes with your share you won’t get an invoice.

If you signed up for a winter share expect an email with all the details on picking up later today – or maybe next week if I run out of time… The Winter CSA is full at this point and sign-ups for our spring season will open up in late January or early February.
