Monday we took advantage of the slightly drier weather to plant peas, green onions and lettuce and to cultivate the overwintered shallots. For a minute there it was starting to feel like spring.
Speaking of spring, we still have a few spring CSA shares available, and plenty of summer, fall and winter 2024 ones, too. We also still have one more winter 2023 harvest next week before we actually transition into spring this year.
I haven’t given many predictions for shares this winter but I’m guessing we’ll at least have kale, carrots, leeks, scorzonera, maybe some parsley root and/or parsley. There are a few other odds and ends in the field that might show up on the farm stand or in the shares if we have time to harvest them.
