A bit late with the post this week, but if you’re a member of the CSA you’ll probably already know that it’s because I’ve been off the grid taking a little vacation. In my absence the crew did a great job harvesting the share in tricky conditions.
For the record, here’s what was in the share: root parsley, two types of kale, two types of carrots, leeks, rutabagas and radicchio (which didn’t make it into the photo). The yellow carrots are a variety I haven’t grown for a while but are a great one for cooking with.
More freezing weather is in the forecast for next week but it’s warm this weekend. Warm weather at this point is good for actually growing the spring veggies, but the winter ones suffer a bit as what we’re really trying to do with those is store them in the ground for as long as possible.
Still plenty of spring, summer, fall and winter shares available but no guarantee they’ll stick around for long so sign up soon at our Grownby.app shop!
