Lettuce, beets, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers and collards. There were also a few more potatoes for the Thursday shares, since last week Thursday didn’t end up with quite as much as Monday. The lettuce is red leaf and probably will be again for Monday. The beet tops are good to eat, along with the roots. The onions are the last of the sweet onions for the year, but we’ll have a few other varieties in the coming weeks.
I wasn’t actually at the farm today so no notes from me. I’m finally taking a little summer vacation while the crew keeps the farm ticking. Tiiu sent me this picture so I could make the weekly share post remotely.
We’ll all be back at the farm on Tuesday – after taking the Labor Day holiday. Monday pick up moves to Tuesday next week and Thursday is unaffected. Have a great holiday weekend and expect the next share prediction post on Tuesday evening!
