Hey there eaters – In your share, more summer veggies…
zucchini – a small small amount of small zucchinis – this could be the end of them for this year
cucumbers – one asian cuke and a few regular slicers
tomatoes – about 2.5lbs of mostly slicer tomatoes
peppers – 3 long Jimmy Nardello sweet peppers and about 5 other sweet peppers
onion – Valencia yellow spanish onion
rainbow lacinato kale
small bunch of beets
head of romaine lettuce
Fall is here this weekend and it looks like the weather is changing right on time. It’s nice to think about not irrigating, the golden light of autumn evenings, and some of the delicious fall veggies to come. I’ve been scattering crimson clover cover crop seed everywhere there is bare ground right now. There are 10 weeks of CSA left in which you will start to see some significant changes in the shares. That may come as welcome news to some of you, though pretty soon I will miss fresh tomatoes and cucumbers. Stay tuned!
