It’s been all business this January. A grant for an education program proposal, a new business structure, new operating agreement, preparing for tax season with tax workshops, finishing the business plan for final approval by Mercy Corps, and making sure we’ve got accounting in place for the new year. Little by little, our business knowledge is becoming more complete.

Matt has been hard at work in the excel world, making it all fit, choosing varieties and quantities for CSA, Market and some leftover for restaurant sales, and projecting our income. Meetings will continue with restaurants to try and nail down our steady accounts. It’s been nice to be indoors but this warm weather has given us that taste of spring. The smell of warmer air makes us remember what it’s like to grow. It won’t be long.
