Last week I got up into the mountains for a little break from the farm and got luck with some cold temps and decent snow. This week the warm weather is keeping me guessing and here’s what I think we’ll have in the shares on Thursday: Carrots, parsnips, leeks, radicchio and scorzonera. Depending on how much the greens have grown back we may have some collards or kale, but they’ve been very slow growing despite the warm weather. I wouldn’t be surprised if we have some raab from them extra early this year.
I’m a little behind in getting the CSA shares for the 2026-27 seasons up on the website but they should be up by the end of the week and if you’re on our mailing list you’ll get an update when they do go up. It’s a surprisingly busy month with lots of behind the scenes work to do: getting the website updated, getting the seed order in, getting the greenhouse seedings started, and finishing the clean up in the field done before we start planting again at the end of the month!
