Happy New Year! And first winter share predictions

We’ve had a nice little winter break for the past few weeks and left the farm to rest while we’ve been enjoying those final fall harvests in our holiday meals. That beautiful pink radicchio was part of my New Years Eve salad, as well as topping for my pizza last night. With a little luck we’ll have some in the harvest tomorrow. Tomorrow is our first winter season harvest and here’s what I think we might have in addition to some pink radicchio: collard greens, leeks, winter radishes, carrots, and more radicchio colors and styles.

If you have a winter CSA share you should have gotten an email with details last month and you’ll get a reminder tomorrow morning in your inbox. If you don’t have a winter share we’re all full for the season with a decent waiting list but the farm stand may still have few items for anyone who wants to show up during regular pick up hours and try their luck. Registration for spring, summer, fall and next winter seasons will be open in a few weeks. In the meantime we’re working on finalizing those plans behind the scenes and getting the farm ready for the coming year!
