Next week is the final week of our summer season. The weather yesterday was definitely feeling fall like and the days are getting noticeably shorter as the equinox approaches. In the share I’m guessing we’ll have lettuce, kale, yellow onions, beets, tomatoes, sweet peppers and maybe some celery. Summer squash and cucumbers are nearing their end so they might be on the farm stand.
The last seeding for fall and winter crops went in the ground yesterday, mâche. We also pulled a good number of weeds out of the field, the never ending project.
Fall shares start in two weeks for A schedule and three weeks for B schedule (fall is every other week pick-up). We still have spots for both available but more for the B schedule. Sign up if you want one! There are also options for mushroom shares, kombucha shares and egg shares and I’ll be sending out that information to CSA members next week.
