I completely missed the predictions for Share #5, and the reality was I would have gotten most of it wrong as there were a few last minute decisions there. Next week seems like it might be similar: Lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, summer squash, fresh sweet onions. I was hoping that both tomatoes and romano beans would be ready by now but they’re both taking their time so I’ll just have to keep checking on them. I did see the first color on one tomato, and there are plenty of big green fruit out there. Seems like we’re seeing the impact of a cold late May and early June.
I spent some time catching up on fall plantings this morning. Next week is possibly one of the biggest planting weeks of the year with all of the first radicchio plants going into the ground as well as the seeds for winter radishes, turnips and carrots.
