As you might have noticed, we’ve been getting our first heavy frosts of the season all this week. The sun has been warming things up during the day though so I’m hopeful that we’ll have time to get a decent share together after things thaw out tomorrow morning. Here’s what we have planned: leeks, radicchio, kale, mache, winter beets and turnips. We may try to dig some of the winter carrots as well.
This is a photo of the field from our last harvest. This past week I’ve been in the office, continuing to work on the plan for this spring, summer, fall and next winter! All of the seeds are ordered now and soon it’ll be time to start preparing beds and starting seedlings in the greenhouse. I also need to update the website and put the 2025/26 share details on there. Typically that happens at the end of January or beginning of February and I’ll post here when it does.
