Not an update I want to be writing but stick around until the end because its not all bad. Starting with the bad part, I (Josh) found myself in the hospital last Wednesday evening after bike ride gone wrong. Short story is a bit of a freak, self inflicted accident has left my left shoulder in bad shape and a lung injury that the doctors are watching but probably will be just fine. Good news is my head and the rest of me is fine – but I’m still in the Hospital, at least until tomorrow.
More good news is that Sara and Catherine were able to take advantage of the nice weather on Thursday and get more plants in the ground – the first round of lettuce and the tomatoes! They’re set to do it again tomorrow, with a little direction from the mobile office. Needless to say I’m feeling very grateful for them being there now. It’s peak planting time so lots of plants headed to the fields from the greenhouse these days!
As soon as I get out to the fields I’ll send more updates. Folks have been asking about weekend volunteer days forever and that hasn’t been something I’ve had time to organize in the past, but now that I’m pretty much limited to full time organizing look for one of those to be announced very soon.
