4th Fall Share

Carrots, spinach, celeriac, radicchio, collards, salad turnips, and red mustard. We had a rough time with carrots this year so it’s nice to see that these worked out decently well. The red mustard looks really good, too, and we should have more of both before the end of the year. These are the last of the salad turnips for the fall and with the warm weather the greens are still looking tasty.

We got pretty lucky with the weather again today and it was basically dry until dark! With the time change we’re working until dark these days and it’s completely dark at pick up so you might need to bring a light to navigate through the fields. Being the first week of dark pick up of course I forgot to bring our lantern so we got by with just the solar string lights and a little reading light we have for the check sheet. Next week I’ll remember the lantern!

Clean up continues in the fields and we managed to get a bunch more drip tape out of the beds, as well as covering and weeding a few beds, and balling up some of the trellis twine. Still quite a bit to do but we’re making progress.
