Sixth Summer Share

Chard, summer squash, tomatoes, fresh onion, cucumbers, basil and lettuce. First tomatoes of the season and more should be on the way soon. The chard was looking decent and since the romano beans continue to be behind schedule we figured folks would appreciate a little bunch of greens.

It was a bit overwhelming getting back to the farm today. Everything has grown so much in the two weeks I’ve been away. The big push now is getting beds planted for fall and knocking back the big weeds, which are always prolific at this time of year. The crew did a great job of keeping the fields watered, crops trellised and they made some inroads on the weeds. All of that on top of bringing in the harvests and keeping the shares full!
