Here’s my best guess for next week’s share and farm stand offerings: Lettuce, kale, green onions, fava beans, summer squash, basil or parsley, and maybe some new potatoes. On the farm stand we should have collard greens, fennel, and the first of the cucumbers and green beans look very close so they could show up either on the stand or in the shares.
It looks like it’s going to be a hot week! We’ve got a bunch of field work stacking up and with the heat both the weeds and the crops should be growing fast. Applications for the two farm worker positions we have are coming in so if you’re interested or know someone who might be make sure to let us know asap! It’s not a summer job, this is part-time year round work, but it does start this summer so we’re interviewing folks now. I’m always blown away at the quality of the applicants we get and number of great people who have worked with us over the years!
