Hello and happy spring!
We’re getting ready for our first CSA share pickup coming up Thursday June 9th. Your share will be available between 430 and 630pm. Let us know if this does NOT work for you.
Here are the details for the pickup:
Come to Trinity Lutheran Church (5520 NE Killingsworth). Come south toward the back of their parking lot. If you are driving and there are people playing sports on or near the field at the back of the lot, don’t park right next to the field, park a few spaces back. Walk south across the field past the line of conifer trees to the farm to pick up your share. Feel free to call if you have trouble finding us: Matt’s cell phone is 503-310-5766.
We will be loaning you rubbermaid totes to carry the produce. PLEASE make sure to bring these back the following week as we’ll wash and reuse them.
You’ll get an email listing the week’s produce after the pickup is done. We’re very excited for the beginning of the CSA season and to meet those of you we haven’t already met.
If you haven’t given a deposit yet, I’ll be in touch to see if you’re still on board.
Here’s to good growing weather!
cheers,
Matt and Michael.
What does CSA stand for? Thank you.
It stands for community supported agriculture and it is a “membership” to a farm where the customer agrees to support the farmer for the entire season and pays for the season mostly up front and receives a weekly box of assorted seasonal produce.
Here’s a really good website to learn more.
